Writing, Activism, And Grassroots Organising For Food Sovereignty and Justice
Writers, grassroots activists, and cultural actors have approached food sovereignty and environmental justice issues and challenged industrial agriculture, conceptualised relationships between food and the environment and addressed the ecological damage and the impacts of climate change on traditional food landscapes. In mapping works that contributed to dialogues on food justice and resulted in effective land regeneration work on the ground, this essay examines how writing, activism, and grassroots organising can be used to promote local agriculture, fight for food sovereignty, and restore indigenous relationships with the land.
