Earth Wall
Grounded in the context of coastal Abu Dhabi, "Earth Wall" reimagines the green wall concept as a livable sculpture crafted using traditional rammed earth techniques. The project traces and layers geological characteristics from the region while integrating drought-tolerant native plants and shrubbery, aligning with their natural inhabitation patterns.
The installation challenges prevailing landscaping norms and questions Western perspectives on green spaces by exploring unconventional possibilities in representing and assimilating nature within the built environment. It prioritizes an earth driven intervention tailored to the region, fostering a harmonious relationship between constructed and natural spaces.
